I have figured out why I have been in such terrible pain now for about 5 weeks. The Lawn Mower. I have to mow the lawn, I can not afford to have it done, but I now believe that when I do, the pushing, pulling, sends my pelvic floor into a tizzy. I have TENS but that does not help. I thought if I had a muscle relaxer to take before I mow or after, that would stop the flare that last for about 2 days after I mow. HELP, ANY SUGGESTIONS?????

Hi,

I just started taking Zanaflex. It says to take 4mg every four hours, but I don't. I take a half whenever my back starts reaally hurting. It works great but they do make you tired for the first 30 min. I take it at bedtime also. Hope this helps.

You might try mowing just a little bit at a time. We have a huge yard and my husband mows it in sections. We have a self-propelled mower so he has to walk behind and guide it, but doesn't have to actually push it. Maybe if you watch, you can find a used one?

The number one med that helped me the most was Elavil, second most helpful according to my Doc is Valium.

Valium is like eating Skittles - Soma has worked the best for me.

Valium is what I am given as a pre-op medication. 5 mg makes me sleepy, 10 mg knocks me out.

Klonopin is an excellent drug for PFD. It does cause drowsiness for most so you have to be careful!

With continued usage, you do build up a tolerancy to the sleepies!!
