So, I was reading a magazine yesterday and it had all this stuff in it about what pregnancy does to your body, bad things. So today I asked my friend who just had a baby 3mos ago if it was true....and she said yes, and then some!:cussing: Now, its taken me a long time to be okay with being pregnant anyways (always have this picture of the movie Alien where the alien jumps out of the guy's stomache) , but now I'm starting to have second thoughts. Its like having my body envaded for 9mos, and I know that it will be worth it and all in the end and yadayadayada....but, yeah, I'm just not very maternal :loco: And its not my friend's fault because I told her to be honest with me because she knows how I am and how I have enough going on with my body and I want to know what's going to happen to it, but now I'm scared. Maybe I'm vain, but I don't want my boobs to point south (I'm very proud of them now) and to have stretch marks, and to pee everytime I cough (have enough of the pee trouble the way it is), and my hips (that are very "robust" anyways) to spread apart even further. YIKES!!!! Any tips? I really want to keep my body the way it is. I know about lotion, plan on stock piling it, and wearing a good bra to bed. Any good news? Anyone have like a killer much better body now? Please someone tell me that it made your boobs perkier and your acne vanish and your skin clear and pretty, and your feet didn't turn to cankles. Please.

LOL, Leah, I have to be honest, personally my stomach looks like a road map since I had Griff. BUT I am totally lazy and haven't exercised since I had him much at all. If you exercise before, during and after that can help cut down on the permanant changes you see in your body. Honestly though it doesn't matter to me that my stomach is shot, once you look at that face and now that he can say "I wuv you mommy" I'd look 10x worse to have that little guy.

Meme..lol..
I dont mean to laugh I know you are serious, but I honestly think you are all worked over nothing..When I was pregnant my skin was clearer than it ever was even had a glow to it..And my boobies were perky a full.... And as far as stretch marks as long as you keep cocoa butter on you stomach you will hardly be able to notice them. Thats even if you get them... But I promise you this... After that precious baby is born you will not even be thinking of yourself that much your focus will be all on the bundle of joy.. Any inconvience will be worth it:smile tee

lol,do not get so freaked out.i have 2 children,i'm 29,and i don't have a single stretch mark,i am as tiny as i was before the pregnancies.the only thing that did happen to me was my little chest actually shrunk, yeah i was a little upset about that, but i am glad the rest of my body stayed the same.and i know everyone says this, but, really when you see your baby for the first time, you really will think its worth it.

Leah,
I swear were twins b/c that's how I feel. There's a commercial on tv about post pardome depression after having a baby. And everytime I see it I think of myself and I have a feeling that will be me. My bf laughs at me when the commercial comes on. I feel exactly the same way. I like my body the way it is now and lord only knows what happens when you have a baby! YIKES!!! Although you look at the celebrities on tv and how good they look after having kids. It's all about working you ass off after the baby's born. Who knows if celebrities have lip or all the plastic surgery but I do believe that some do work out like crazy. And they look amazing afterwards. With IC I know it might be hard to workout like a maniac but if you want it go for it.
Having a baby is somethign so beautiful. It's life changing like the other women say and I know it will be worth it, but I get scared too. Your not alone.

You have to remember you will always hear the horror stories. Pregnancy is different for every person. My sister always had difficult labors but easy trimesters. I loved labor & delivery! I always had 5-6 months of morning sickness but my labor was fast! Try not to listen to the stories but decided what is best for you.
