Sorry, a couple more questions

Is it ok to feed Patches all the food she wants now that I know she is eating for more then one? I don't want to starve her but I don't want to make her extra fat either with the kittens. Never been pregnant so I have no clue as how the eating thing goes. Also, at what age do the kittens need shots? I know they need distemper and rabbies. I want to make sure they have those two before I give them away (if I give them away :) ). My sister had a stray cat she never took in the house even during winter. She let her have liter after litter and the kittens all died from the distemper. Kept telling her to get the cat fixed or in the house but she wouldn't do it. Said against the bible to have her fixed. I told her it was awful of her to let her go through the pain of labor and then to see her little kitties die. In the end the cat got hit by a car. :( Sorry, that was another whole story but I want the little kittens to have the best life ever. Any other advise you think I should have please tell me. :help: :hi:

Usually cats don't eat too much. Most people just put down the recommended amount twice a day and the kitty will nibble throughout the day. The cat food package should have a recommended amount, which can vary depending on which brand you buy. I have never fed our pets canned food. I don't personally have any cats right now, but several of my daughters do and I have fed them occasionally.

You really need to call your vet to ask about shot schedules.

I don't know how much pregnant cat's are supposed to eat but pregnant people are not actually supposed to eat enough for two people because the second person is so small, lol. This could be different with a cat because she is having more than one baby. As for the shots, I have never had a cat have kittens, we had a male cat growing up and my parents got him fixed so he would stop going to the door and screaming trying to get out. I would just call the vet that you take Patches too and ask them when kittens should get their shots. Good luck with everything Grandma :smile tee

Waterflow, I know with dogs its 5 to 6 weeks old.. You are very smart by going and getting there shots. I know to they need worming at that age to..You should also take the mom in to get her caught up on her shots..I cant wait to see the new babies...:smile tee

I am giving her little amounts now. Have noticed she is wanting food almost every 2 hours and she won't stop meowing or walking around unless I give her something. I am guessing it is the little monsters wanting food. They aren't even here yet and are so demanding. :) Figured I will stop worrying about how much she is eating. She must know more about motherhood then I do. Will worry about her being fat after the kittens are born and only if she doesn't start to lose the weight a while after they are born. I sure am tired this afternoon. Back and forth...food...potty...food...potty....she eats and then I let her out to her room thinking she has to go potty. Comes back in and the cycle starts all over again. She seldom goes potty. I think she just likes to run up the stairs. :lmao:

Lol ... She might be nervous and just want your attention..Yea I would just let her eat she knows if shes hungry or not, so you can worry about her eating after the babies are eating on there on.. She will prob want to eat alot to while she is feeding babies..
