I have had my interstim since the last part of September and yes it does help with the frequency. But both sites are still very tender. Is this normal after all this time. also it seems to increase in intensity and then slows back down. I called Medtronics and they said I needed to contact my doctor well my doctor is out of town and the doctor who is taking his place knows nothing??? Any words of wisdom?? frown

yes sandy it is normal to still be tender. I was for 6 or 8 weeks after my implant. you can call your uro's office and ask them to reprogram you or turn it down until he returns..

Also, Brat, I hope that you're ok. From what I've read in your posts, it sounds like the last month or two have been rough for you. Thanks so much for monitoring the board so well in the middle of it all. Best wishes and gentle hugs, little bear.

Hi Brat, I don't remember the part about one in four not reading <--I don't know what that means, though, so maybe that's why it slipped my mind! lol. But, I do remember that your weight loss was the issue. It sounds like this is weight you worked to lose. If so, congratulations--and tell me your secret!. Am so glad that the device, etc. are working fine. Hoorah! I hope that everything else, both medically and otherwise, will be running smoothly for you in no time as well. Gentle hugs, little bear

hi lil bear,
no I didn't work at losing any weight it just started dropping :( I now am down to 102 :( I find it very uncomfortable and annoying. I cant sit comfortable and more because I feel my spine hitting the back of what ever I sit in and it hurts. I was 125 in dec. and 135 in feb. i dropped to 117 in may (that was good) then 109 in early sept, 105 2 weeks later and now 102.... I really cannot afford to lose any more weight. I just don't know how these skinny girls do this, I feel weak now because of it, and I was always cold, now I flat out freeze.
Ok my interstim leads are reading, When I move, sit-stand-lay-bend- whats ever I do, my stimulation moves because the wires now are visable under my skin. I go and get reprogramed and within a few hours it has moved..... i feel it one place when i stand, another if i sit so forth and so on, so until i find out why i am melting I am shut off....

Hi Brat, I'm so sorry to hear that you've dropped so much weight without knowing why. Not that I've ever been in that position, but I'm thinking that you must feel pretty tired if your body is working overtime like that. I'm also sorry that you're uncomfortable (and that you have to shut off your interstim until you get to the bottom of the other issues). When it rains, it pours, huh? Here's hoping that your Dr. gets to the bottom of things asap and that you're feeling better soon! Gentle hugs and best wishes, little bear
