Curious about how many times you urinate?

I'm currently on Enablex, 3 days now, no difference yet. I was on Ditropan xl, detrol, sactura none of these worked. My problem is urgency,frequecny. No bladder pain. Have not been tested for IC yet. Doc wants to try oab meds before testing.

Anyway, my question is those on meds for oab or ic how often do you urniate, while on meds.

I go from anywhere to 10 to 20 times in the day and about 2 to 3 times a night...I think normal is around 5 times a day..

I'm on Elavil (among other things) and it has helped with my frequency. I've only been on it a little over 2 weeks, and I've already seen an improvement. I was going between 20 to 25 times a day, and multiple times during the night. I now go between 10 and 20 times a day, and only once during the night. I definitely enjoy sleeping more during the night and not having to get up to go pee all the time!

I'd say, 10 to 15 times per day, usually NONE at night but sometimes one. You have to see it in context, though -- before treatment I was going 22 times in one night! I can't even guess how many times per day. So I'm not "normal" but oh, so much better! I can also get off the toilet NOT still feeling like I have to go, most of the time.

I've been up since 6am drank 20oz of water, 20oz of herbal tea and 1 cup of milk and I've pee'd 3 times today and its 2pm. I only get up to pee at night if my 3 year old wakes me up b/c she has to pee.

While I was on Elmiron 3xday and Elavil I probably went 8-10 times a day. Night has never been much of a problem for me-once I can get to sleep that is. Now that I've cut back on the Elmiron its more like 10-15 times a day. When I'm flaring though I can go every 10-15mins for 2 or 3 hours, that's like 12 times in 2hrs!!!! Sucks when that happens.

I think it also depends on how much you are drinking. Plus everyones bodies process at faster and slower rates. Like when I drink like maybe 20 oz of liquid, I will start peeing within 15 minutes. Liquid goes through me quickly I guess.

I go about 10 times a day and once at night. Before meds I was going up to 20 times a day and 3 times a night.

I think maybe it depends on the severity of the bladder like inflammation or you have less bladder capacity. Or if you eat or drink some that irritated the bladder. For me personally, I quit counting.

Its 4:30p.m. here and I think since I have been up at 6:15a.m. that I've have gone about 5 times. At night I get up and go about 1-2 times. Since I have been on Vesicare, it really has helped me. I used to go about 10 days aday and at least 6 times a night.

It actually differs for me every day. There are days that I can go like 15-to 20 times a day, and then there are days that I can go 8 to 10 times.

I now go about 8-12 times a day, and none at night. Before I was diagnosed, I could go up to 40 times a day, and at least 5-10 a night.

The only thing I'm on right now is Elmiron and when I did a voiding journal a couple of weeks ago I was going 40+ times in a 24 time period. Night time varies but I usually get up at least 1 or 2 times sometimes more.

Well... I was put on the OAB meds too... none worked and my urologist thought something would have worked (I tried 3 meds), so he said stop them. The side effects were bad and I gave them a long time to see if they work (and doubled the Ditropan). I was going 30-40 times a day. I still am. I had a tiny bit of improvement with pyridium am/pm with an antibiotic at night... but I stopped the am med and the frequency went up again. I go about 6 times a night at my worst (I usually sleep 6 hours/night). When the pyridium 2x/day was helping a tad I'd go about 30 times/day and 3-4 times at night. I'll have moments where I'm running to and from the bathroom for a few hours, then I'm ok for a couple of hours... then the bathroom marathon again...

They just did an in office cystoscope and didn't see anything. My uro was shocked to see how much the urethra hurt me (with filling it up with the numbing gel and with the scope).

Oh well... I hope that helped you somewhat. They have not Dx'd me yet. I just started Elmiron which the uro hoped would help not just the bladder, but also the lining of the urethra. We'll see. I have to give it 1-3 months! He said that seeing an IC specialist wouldn't hurt, but he didn't see anything... but the urethra was surprising (and that my symptoms are atypical). Oh well (shrug). Hope this helped!

I am only on Atarax and Pyridium. I go 15-30 times a day and 1-2 times per night.

I am not taking any IC meds right now (other than Tramadol for pain every now and then) and go anywhere from 3 to 15 times a day (it depends on a lot of things). My average is about 5 times during the day and once at night.

I just went back to my family doctor yesterday, (the one who put me on Vesicare) he was actually pleased that it is working. He wants me to stay on it of course, at the 5mg. -- if you remember I was going quite a bit at night but now only 1-2 times. So, between this for the OAB and Elmiron for IC and everything else that I have, I guess I'm doing ok. I'm off to go get blood test done - had to fast last night and early this morning. Can't wait till after its done so I can eat. I also have to schedule a sonogram to get my liver checked (last year they found some cysts on it, nothing to worry about I'm told-- hopefully they can do it with this, but I might have to have a CT done).

I'm keeping strict bladder diaries for the past 3-4 weeks and I gotta tell ya...oy! My dr. is thinking about Interstim for me so I'm VERY anal about my bladder diaries. I want to be sure it works!

I go between 12-30x a day (depending on if I'm flaring or not). I'll sit on the toilet for 20mins sometimes waiting to get the pee out...more often than not, I average about 15x/ day. :bonk:

I also go an average of 6-10x at nite. I HATE that! No matter what I do, when I stop drinking...it's always like that! :confused:

I go anywhere between 7-11 times a day. I normally am able to sleep through the night, thanks to hydroxzine. I was waking up 1-2 times a night and started taking that, have done much better. Also just started taking MSM Glucosamine three days ago and feel better. Not for sure if it is the meds or not. I am sure God is a major factor.
