Mine just seems to be going on. It stops overnight but then by morning after I have been up for a while it starts again. Not much bleeding but enough I have to wear a pad. Things are getting very irratated down there. Will be a week tomorrow. Thought it might be menopause?

My period has gotten weird over the years, I used to bleed heavy for a day or two and then light for the rest of what would be about a week in total. Lately though I've had heavy for a day or two, light for a day, then completly stop for maybe 2 days and then some light spotting again for the last day or two before it is completely over, it's really weird, and I'm no where near ready for menopause as I'm only 28

Hey before birth control, mine went about 7 days. First day light, middle three were really really heavy, last three light. When I was on birth control, it was about three days. I stopped taking birth control a few months ago and it hasn't stabilized yet. I wanted to give my body a break as I felt like bc was messing w/ my hormones. I think I'm going to get back on it soon though.

If this is a dramatic change for you, it couldn't hurt to check in with you gyn.

Well to be honest I truly don't think that there is a "norm" when it comes to a period. Everyone is so different. But the key here is.....is it different to you from any past periods. If the answer is yes then I would say make an apt. It doesn't hurt to just get it checked out and take the pressure off ur mind.
Take care and remember that if u stress it only makes it worse.
