As you all know, I am a big InterStim advocate. :) There's been a lot of discussion about failure--which needs to be out in the open--but I'd like to post about the successes as well, since this is the success board. :)

Here's one from the InterStim site:

http://www.medtronic.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Medtronic/Website/Patient&ConditionName=Urgency-Frequency&Article=urinary_ps_jeanettestory

The above link is about someone with terrible frequency/urgency--which is why I myself went in for InterStim.

The following story is about Urge Incontinence, something I also suffered with but no longer have:

http://www.medtronic.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Medtronic/Website/Patient&ConditionName=Urinary+Urge+Incontinence&Article=urinary_ps_janestory

This is also an urge incontinence story of a man:

http://www.medtronic.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Medtronic/Website/Patient&ConditionName=Urinary+Urge+Incontinence&Article=urinary_ps_leestory

Anyway these are just a few samples I've come across on the internet. There are many of us, and a lot of us don't post because our InterStims are working so well that we aren't around! :D

When thinking of the InterStim, it's always best to way both sides, and of course, talk with your uro open and honestly. Tell him/her your concerns, look at his/her credentials, and his/her success rates with the surgery. Unfortunately, the failures seem to happen because of incompetent uros. :( Mine told me he could do his in his sleep--I told him to stay awake. lmao

Hugs and love,
Jess

Your post is wonderful, thanks for the links on the success stories.. I think that everyone needs to know the success stories along with the failures. I do not think the failures are more important as the success stories. I think they are both important.
