thinking about interstim

hi ya'll!! my name is melanie. i'm new to this website. i am 24 and have been diagnosed with i.c. i've had it for almost a year now . i don't have any pain ..just really bad urgency all the time. can't do much of anything. i am getting married in 7 months and would like to try interstim cuz i don't want to feel this way any longer..especially on my wedding day. can anyone give me some confidence that this will work? i am scared about doing this. does the test stim hurt? what does it feel like when they move those wires around when you're awake? thanx, melanie

melanie~what else have you tried? There are alot of different meds that can help with the urgency. Have you had a hydro done? There are so many different things to try and I think that it may be a little too soon to be thinking interstim unless you have had all the other treatment options.

When I had my implant done it was because I had exhausted ALL other options. Please, let us know about your treatments up until now.
