Very interesting. I feel even more confidence in my uro because he doesn't instill anything caustic in my bladder after a hydro.

I remember sometime back we had a member here who had some kind of really catastrophic bladder damage after a hydro but can't remember if she had any kind of instillation during the procedure. Can't remember the member's name either but her posts certainly left an impression on me. I hope she is doing well now.

I have a feeling that, since only three patients were involved, and two of the three had chlorpactin (66% of the very small sample size -- where, oh, were have the statisticians gone??) the danger was in the chlorpactin treatment rather than the hydro itself. Of course, there is always the risk of bladder rupture during any cystoscopic procedure, but bladder necrosis (death) is something I would expect to see after a chemical treatment rather than a stretch.
