Hi everyone

I have been suffering with thrush now for two years and I cant seem to get rid of it:cussing:

I was taking a monthly medication to stop the dreaded yeast and was thrush free for 6 months.

However I finished the medication 2 months ago and guess what;..........the thrush is back!!!

I dont know what to do I really dont. This has now caused a flare and I cant stop crying.

I take a good probiotic tablet, I eat lots of probiotics yoghurts, I dont have baths or use bubble baths etc!
I dont even wear knickers anymore..........what more can I do to stop the thrush???

I cant get hold of my doctor as he's on sick and the waiting time to see another gyno is 4 weeks (by which time I will be in agony) I have rang them 5 times this week begging but still told I have to wait.

I even went to ER and they turned me away saying they didnt have any gyno's on site.

the problem is that the thrush medication they sell at drug stores arent strong enough and they dont work for me! :-( I might just try taking two

please any advise would be appreciated.

thanks xx

You're probably already doing this - but have you cut out sugars from your diet? Thought I'd mention it in case you haven't - it can make a huge difference when you are battling yeast.

Kjd.. Do you have thrush in your mouth or do you have a yeast infection?
If its in the mouth you need a script of niastatin<sp?.. and if its yeast in other places there are a few things you can do to help.. There is some very good tips on this forum in the thread about yeast..Hope this helps..
And I hope you feel better soon...(((((((((hugs))))))))

If you've exhausted possibilities of seeing your gyno and your primary care doc can't help, you might want to try the over the counter stuff if it helps even a little bit. Or you might want to try a different ER or an Urgent Care Center.

Kjd,

I hate to say this, but there is so many things that turn to sugar when it is digested.. Alot of your white carbs turn into sugar...

thanks girls!

Well I guess I need to sort out my diet then!! To be honest I dont eat white carbs only brown (does that have sugar too?)! I eat porrige for breakfast with banana, tuna salad for lunch and fish with potato's and veg for dinner with a fruit salad!
Do I need to cut all that out?? God its so confusing! Well I already went to ER last night and after 4 hours was told they couldnt help as didnt have any gynocologists on site. Might go back tonight but will prob be a waste of time!!

I just wish I could find out why I am getting thrush and stop it :-(
