Elavil and Tramadol/Ultram: Safe Combo?

Hey does anyone take elavil and Ultram (Tramadol)? Is it really dangerous to take these two together? It can lower your threshold for seizures or something? And also I thought I heard something about depressed breathing.......but some sites say that and some don't so I'm a little confused. Is it a safe combo or no? Anyone know?

I ask this question before to.. My doctor did say it could make the risk of seizures higher, So she said I could take it together but if I noticed any differance in my breathing or getting the shakes to discontinue at once!
