Any thoughts on Doxepin

Hi i went to see my consultant on Wednesday and she prescribed 75mg of doxepin at night. I have been taking amytriptiline 10mg at night which was helping me sleep but leaving me drowsy in the day. I am thinking of starting on 25mg anyone heard of this drug or have any advice. Best wishes P

My Grandmother takes Doxepin for Atopic Dermatitis. It helps with the itching. I think she takes 2-3 pills per day.
