TENS and flying

Has anyone tried to board a plane with a TENS unit since 9/11? I'm taking two trips in Jan. and I'm rather concerned about passing security. I only use it at night but absolutely can't sleep without it. I'd rather take as carry on lest I get separated in the event of baggage loss but I'd hate to have a bunch of agents tackle me too about this apparatus with all the wires.

Perhaps a note from your doctor and/or the prescription for the TENS will lessen the hassle? I totally agree that it should be a carry-on. I could not be without mine during the day, even after Interstim surgery! confused.gif

You'll have to let us know how it goes in your airport(s). I have great interest in this topic since we have a trip scheduled for mid-Feb. smile.gif

I agree I could not possibly take a trip without my Tens. Have you thought about calling ahead of time and getting the okay early. That is what I would do. Just a suggestion. Hugs
