I know bleeding with IC is normal but I have never had that happen. WEnt to uro this morning and did the uti test. It has been really burning when I go last two days. He came back and said it had blood in it and sending it out to be tested. The thing I don't understand is when he looked in the bladder back during the summer it was fine so where is the bleeding coming from? He said he should look in there again but I really don't want to do that. Gave me antibiotic so maybe that will take care of it.

It could be a small amount of vaginal bleeding that got into your urine sample. Didn't you say you were about to start? It's possible too that you've got a UTI...small amts of blood with a UTI are normal. Let us know what he finds out from your sample.

I think bleeding can be "normal" for some people, but further investigation is usually needed as it can be a sign of something serious. Im glad he gavve you some antibiotics as infections can cause blood in the urine. Keep us posted and hang in there, ok?

Haven't started my period yet. He asked me if I had and told him no but it could be any day now. Took one of the antibiotics and sure am feeling weird. Sort of like out of it. New one for me to try. He wanted me to and I sort of wanted the regular one but maybe this one is better for a uti.
Thanks Sandy and Erika.
Erika, I like your IC handle name. I am a pumpkin freak. How did you come with it?

What antibiotic is it? Macrobid can make you sleepy and dizzy.

Sandy, the pill is Doxycycline 100 mgs. It makes my body feel like it isn't working along with my brain. Weird feeling that I've had before with some of the other pills. It's 2 a day for 14 days. Hopefully by tomorrow I will be able to tell if it is helping. Always takes to the second day.

I found the antiobotic does not mix with the darvacet at all. took them together this morning and I am not feeling well. Dizzy, sick feeling, my body and mind are not going together and I'm sweating. wish the pharmacy had told me about this. I picked up both meds at the same time. If I take it by itself I do fine on it.

Sometimes with an infection the urine can look like it's almost pure blood, even without having IC to go along with it.
I hope the antibiotic ordered for you clears it quickly.

Waterflow, not been doing so well. Just been dealing with severe pain. It usually comes and go but for some reason it is not leaving this time. Been taking vicodin more but that is not doing the job neither. I'm just worrying about it now, I hope it will pass. With IC you know we always have some kind of pain and then it goes away. I hope I am not just being foolish but I hope this will too pass.
If it keeps us I probably go to a female doctor to see if everything is ok in that department. I want to make sure before I go to my uro. because I know what he wants me to do. That is what is worrying me right now. Just hope it will pass.
Hope you are doing better, sometimes we have these tough days don't we. Hope we both get better soon.

It wasn't an infection. Doc wasn't there today but what ever it is it is. Nothing he can do about it anyway.
Hi Mary
sorry to hear you are suffering again! If its any consolation I am suffering too and so depressed at the moment!
Sounds like it may have just been bladder irratation maybe?!
hope you're feeling better soon
