On top of everything, I'm sick

I woke up this morning sick as a dog! I have a really stuffy nose, sore throat, REAL achey, sneezing uncontrollably, etc. etc........Why now?? I hurt enough without the added aches from a cold/flu/whatever this is that I have now. Somebody shoot me!

Hi, Sandy! Just had an idea! I am sorry you are feeling bad, but I was thinking that if you havent been retested for Lupus while you are sick, then now would be a good time, since you are achy and have flu like symptoms. Since you tested postive for anti-nuclear antibodies before, but they were unable to pin it down to Lupus, it might be a good time to get checked again. I was feeling like I had a cold/flu when I was checked by my Rhem in Nashville, and that is when it showed up. (As you know, it didnt show up when I was tested before and wasnt sick the day they tested me.) Just a thought! Anyway, I hope you get to feeling better soon! Hugs, Amy.

Are you sure you can't shoot me Cindy? I'd tell everyone to dismiss it as a favor to me, no criminal intent! LOL Amy, I have a sore throat and a serious stuffy nose, you think it would really be a good time to get tested? It really feels like a bad cold or the beginnings of the flu. I know you're the expert on Lupus around here and if you think I should I'll call my doctor and see if they can get me in to at least re-draw my blood.

Sorry to hear that you're sick. I woke up w/ a sore throat and runny nose yesterday and felt horrible all day and then I had to go to work today. When I got there my boss informed me that 4 people had called out from my deptartment. We answer phones talking to retirees about their health insurance. So on a Monday being down four people is horrible! Then I came home to hubby who is also feeling sick and Griff who threw up all over the carpet so my house smelled like vomit so then I had to steam clean the carpet before dinner! So I can totally relate to how you are feeling. I can't believe I have 4 more days to go until the next weekend!

Amy, I'm starting to break out into cold sores on my mouth again and it seems like this is going to be a terrible batch again!!! Maybe you are onto something and I need to get that blood drawn ASAP! Have an appt with my pain mgmt doc tomorrow and I'm going to see if he can send me somewhere to have my Lupus studies redone. Thanks so much for the tip. I'm literally PRAYING that my mouth doesnt become that horrible, painful mess it was a few months ago. Something is causing these sores.....and usually a cold isn't what does it.
