Hi,
I have been looking at new teas to try. I can only tolerate a select few of the celestial seasonings herbal teas. Some of their white teas look good, but I am wondering if white tea itself causes a problem for people? I know that green tea is a no-no due to its acidity, but I have not heard of white tea being a problem. If anyone knows or have tried any type of white tea, I'd love to hear from you!
Thanks!

If I am not mistaken white tea is just very young green tea buds or leaves. Have you tried a plain peppermint tea or Rooibos? Some can drink plain Chamomile also. Tryin to give u a few options. The Rooibos (pronounced roy-bus) is a read tea. Celestial Seasonings has a rooibos w/vanilla that is good.

I've had white tea and suffered no consequences.
Like anything new, try a small amount at first to see how you're going to react.

take care

hey thanks!
i had wondered about the rooibos too. i can drink chamomile and peppermint. actually, celestial seasonings makes a great honey vanilla chamomile that i have all the time with no problem. i'm just looking for some variety! i had no idea white tea was that similar to green. i have a real problem with green tea.

I drink Cel. seasonings Madagascar Vanilla Red Rooibos and it's wonderful with a bit of sugar and milk or half and half. It doesn't bother my bladder. People with IC tend to have problems with citric acid and rose hips. So you may want to steer clear of those.

Sandy,
I received a sample of the Vanilla tea today in the mail. Can't wait to try it :)

I have tried the Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea and I love it. (recently gave up coffee- tried regular Chamomile tea and I couldn't tolerate it-so I picked up the other one) I also have the peppermint- have some, its ok-not my favorite)
Right now, I'm doing a big no, no had to have a cup of coffee because I just needed a cup -first cup in 2 months!! not missing much, let me tell you. Think I'll go back to drinking my tea.
Have to go to the store tonight or tomorrow and pick up a few things, think I'll go and pick up a new flavor of tea.

I saw they also have a white tea w/pear if I were brave enough to try white tea again lol. BUT for those that can drink it, theres a new option :)
