Ihaven't been diagnosed yet. I was talking with my OB-GYN about my recurring UTI's that never show any signs of white blood cells but always show microscopic hematuria. Nothing has generally shown on culture. She gave me some pamphlets on this and is pulling my records from these other doctor visits to see if, in fact, the cultures were negative. If so, she is going to send me to a urologist. My question is this... the things she noted as well as what the pamphlets say, all scream out Interstitial Cystitis. Well, that or bladder cancer, I guess. I would hope for the first. One of the things I noticed when I was dating my now husband more than seven years ago was that everytime we had sex I would have to stop in the middle at least one time to go to the bathroom. Does this sound familiar at all to anyone? I am so anxious to have some diagnosis. I guess I have lived with whatever it is I have been living with for so long that it didn't seem out of sorts -- not something to see the doctor over. It was the usual for me. I don't know. A long drawn out explanaion for such a short question. Thanks in advance ... Just looking for some answers.

Every time I feel like I have a UTI cultures come back negative. My dr. puts me on Cipro anyway and it helps tremendously! I too have to run to the bathroom during sex.
Sex causes urethral pain for me for several days after the sex...ugh!!!!!
I hope you get diagnosed and on some medication. Sounds like you need it! Good luck!

Oh yes that sounds very familiar, I will go before sex, sometimes during sex and after sex..

LOL, count me in too - there's been a couple times when hubby's heard "wait! gotta go, be right back!" ;) And things were even funnier when I'd take pyridium before hand - urine isn't the only thing that turns orange...lol.

LOL, you are far far far from a freak, lol. Wow, that was a lot of "F's" in a row, lol. When I first came here, I learned sooooo much from the gang here, that it enabled me to cope with it all sooo much better - I had somewhere to turn for some ways to "live with IC" that my doc just couldn't help with!
