For those of you on the pill....
After a round of Antibiotics, what do you use for the next month for backup protection?
I despise condoms for several reasons, there are other physical reasons too.
What to use? And how reliable is it....and does it affect your nether regions in a bad way?
I'd love to hear what you all have used. :smile tee

Tried condoms, but hate them!!! They always make my pain worse even if we use a ton of lube. Also, I've tried the "Today" sponge, which is now back on the market -- it is hit or miss. Sometimes I can take it, other times I hurt from insertion and then start itching from whatever is in it.
Nowadays, since I haven't been able to find any backup that is entirely acceptable, Hubby and I usually cut back on the intercourse and replace it with oral sex and other non-penetrating sex.
Also, I discuss this issue with my doctor and he's able to prescribe antibiotics that do not interfere with the Pill when possible.

Yeah, unfortunately hubby and I have always used condoms, bleck. But we did find one that we both can agree is not so bad - Durex "LOVE" I think they are called (or something like that). My body hasn't protested against them and they are less obtrusive than most...
