I love asparagus! I trim the stalks, rinse them, and then toss them in about 1/2 tsp of sesame oil. Roast them in the oven at 400 deg for 20 minutes - I can eat the whole panful!

Ok here it goes no really specifics..

Cut cabbage and boil, but dont boil it to long, you dont want it to be mushy..
After its done, drain and cool..
I use pioneer biscuit/pancake mix, but you can use any brand..Mix the badder up for pancakes, but make it a little thicker than you would for pancakes, because the cabbage has alot of water in it..Mix the cabbage up in the badder, use lots of cabbage..In a frying pan put some oil it in, just enough so the patties will fry..Let the oil get hot and then spoon the mixer into the frying pan, like you would pancakes but smaller, but like I said your mixer will be thicker, fry a couple of mintutes on one side and then flip take out when both sides are golden brown, when ready put on a paper towel , to get any grease off of them..Then while still hot I sprinkle parmesan cheese on top, but thats just if you can eat parmesan chesse..yummy

Oh yum, it all sounds fabulous! One of my favorite cabbage dishes is to chop it up (not shred) and cook it in butter (lol, unfortunately I use lots, lol) until it starts to brown. The pan will be heaped, but cooks down like onions do, lol. I just add a little salt and pepper for seasoning. In the mean time, while that's doing it's thing, I cook a pkg of wide egg-noodles as pkg directs. When cabbage is just about done to my liking, I toss in the noodles, maybe add a little more butter if needed and toss it all together and finish the cabbage the way I like it - browned up pretty good. It's so yummy and a nice cheap side dish - although, my mom and I have been known to make that the main course, lol!! ;)

1 cup sifted flour (all purpose)

The cabbage recipes all sound so good but I can't eat cabbage because of the stupid bladder. Bad bladder, bad bladder.

LOL, I swear we must be twins seperated at birth - forgetting to list the flour amount in the recipe is such a Tracey Move! LMAO!!! No biggie though :) As soon as I see some decent asparagus in the market I am all over it! Hey, I wonder if you can use frozen too... Mmmmm, canned asparagus, in the good old days I'd plop it in a bowl, douse it with red wine vinegar and drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper... no heating required, lol. YUM-O

Oh dang, that sucks about the bladder being finicky with the cabbage, I swear there were days when I could have just strangled mine! GRRR!!!

Tracey, you poor person. Having to be my twin. That is one curse that no one should have to carry. I used to make a round steak sandwiched in between sauerkraut, you butter the steak with horseradish sauce (yes sounds awful but is yummy in the end), you dice up an onion and mix the onion in with the sauerkraut. In the end it tastes like pork chops. Now if I have all the ingredients listed it will taste like pork chops. Leave one out and all you end up with is steak/sauerkraut which is not yummy at all. Oh, one thing I miss is a hotdog with sauerkraut on it.

Hey, being an only child, I'd welcome a twin! ;) Not a problem - only, generally I am a mess, so most likely it'd be poor you to be stuck with me! LMAO!!! :)

Ok, that sandwich sounds fab! I love sauerkraut in just about any form or usage, lol. I tried making homemade red cabbage the other night (instead of just using the jarred stuff, lol) and it was a disaster. By the time it got to the taste I was looking for, it just was nasty, lol.

Ok, now I want a hot dog with sauerkraut myself....think it's dinner time! :)

I never tried to make homemade cabbage stuff of any kind. The steak I was talking about isn't a sandwich sandwich. You sandwich the steak between it all and then bake it. Sorry, bad choice of cooking words. It's only moorning and now I could go for the hot dog with everything on it. Anyone know how to make chilli dogs?? Never had one but could soooooooooo go for one. Bring on the food!!!!:dizzy:

You would be a nice sister for me. You're probably actually better off being the only child. All my sisters are sisters from h***. Really, I'm like Cinderalla with the wicked sisters.

Waterflow,
The only way I know how to make chili dogs is just poor the chili on top of the meat and bun, then you have to have a fork to eat it...lol but its yummy, I also put sauerkraut on top of that yummy, but cant eat ot now, which really sucks, because it us to be my favorite...

Hey, sure would be fun to be sisters! I have none, and from what you have said, maybe that's a good thing! My luck I end up with evil ones myself! No offense to any GREAT stepmom's out there, but I did have a Wicked Stepmother at one point, lol ;) So this works out - we can pick our own!! What do you say? :)

Hmmm, chili dogs, my crazy fave was always the Hormel Chili in a can with no beans, some chopped onion and mustard - YUM-O, lol!!! Ok, it's almost 10 am and now I want hot dogs!!!!

Hugs!
XOXO

I never bought canned chilli. Always made it myself. I am going to try that. Next time I go to the store buy a can of chilli and I am having my chilli dog even if it kills me.

Sure Tracey. We can be bladder sisters instead of blood sisters. :smile tee I never had a stepmom. Isn't it hard to join another family to live with?
