Weighed myself again this morning and I have lost two more pounds since Monday. :woohoo: I just can not believe it. Even had two small pieces of candy yesterday. All I have been doing is really watching what I eat and get at least 1 hour of heavy cleaning in each day. Wow, I have finally found my diet groove. Hoepfully by the end of this month I can lose another 10 and finally fit into some of my dresses. This has really made my day. :smile tee

:woohoo: Way to Go Waterflow!! I am very proud of you!!

One thing to remember when you are dieting is if you are not getting enought fat in your diet then your body stores it instead of letting it go. When you hear that rumbling sound try a small bit of something with a little fat in it - I used to do a small spoon of peanut butter - that way you are not depriving yourself and your body will still work to lose weight for you!

You are doing an awesome job!!

Hi Leah. :hi: Good Luck and may the best bladder win.

What I find so stupid is when I ate nothing but salads, fruit and one slice of bread I lost nothing. Absolutley nothing and now I eat what I want (but not over doing it) and do some cleaning and I'm just melting away. :D Bye bye fat! One thing with just losing the 5 pounds my sweat pants are a little to loose and I have to keep pulling them up. I don't like pants down on my hips but that is a good sign. :smile tee

Congratulations!!! :woohoo: You are really doing a great job! I am impressed! Though, for the first time ever, I am thankful my husband doesnt read the boards, or he'd be after me even MORE to clean! :lmao: I am really proud of you! Keep up the good work!

oh wow, that is brilliant!

hope it keeps that way so that you can be a weight that you are comfortable with!!

glad just the diet and chores help!!

great motivation that if others can, so should I! hopefully now i'm on thyroid meds, I should lose some as well as my diet and calorie intake is low .

by the way was watching a programme about food and weight and people who had high calcium diets excreted double the amount of fat than those on low calcium. weird as isn't dairy fattening. and they found out protein keeps you full up longer than carbs and fats. hmmm........

i love that feeling of pulling up pants - bought size 6 and 8 jeans - size 8 being generous for flares etc and then over the weeks even the size 6 were like my size 8s. that was fall time though....hope to get back to it.

Tracey, me...hips.....chickie..........:lmao: Maybe some day, maybe some day :lmao:

Windwalker you know what I do about the ice cream situation? I buy the kind I can't stand. That way I won't be tempted to eat it. Good luck with your yoga. I used to do that and thought about trying it again.

Windwalker, Turkey Hill has a flavor ice cream that is called Party Cake. That stuff is so good. It tastes like real birthday cake mixed with ice cream. I'm the only one who eats it. Everytime I have to buy their ice cream I see that party cake box sitting there eyeing me, tempting me to buy it. Almost did last time but if I get it home I'm doomed. Boy, I could go for it right now just thinking about it. Do those resistant bands work?

Waterflow, I live in Lancaster Co PA which is where Turkey Hill is located! I love that party cake ice cream so much!! I am sure that it is not IC friendly and I don't buy ice cream any more period because if I do then I seem to have to have some every night! But I must say that is the best ice cream ever, i think it's the butter cream in there that really makes it :smile tee

I LOVE my resistance bands!!! I have the kind that are attached to handles and the kind that look like HUGE rubber bands, I like those ones the most! I use them mainly for my outer thighs. I sit on the edge of the couch and put the band around my legs just above my knees and move my legs open n closed (using control or ya just look like your flingin the band lol) and it helps. I do also put one end of it under my foot and grab the other w/my hand and do curls for my upper arms. You can put it in both hands over your head and stretch it, to work more of your arms. I also have the kind that are a big strip of rubber, its fine too, but ya gotta tie it w/a half bow, if you knot it you wont get it undone lol. I just like the big rubber band kind most because you dont have to do anything w/it like tie it or hold handles.
Party cake Ice Cream good Lord that sounds good!!! We have walgreens that sells one called birthday cake in the real small boxes. I am always tempted to have one of those!!!

Chrisitne, do they give out free samples?? Think I would want a job at that place. They do make good ice cream but that kind is to die for. :smile tee

Windwalker, I am going to have to check into getting one of those bands. It sounds simple and bladder friendly. Are they expensive? That party cake ice cream comes in a half gallon. Good thing I can't carry the computer around or I would be typing this while driving to the store for the party cake. :bonk:

Nah, the bands arent expensive, try WalMart, Kmart, Target etc. before you try anywhere else. I got lucky and got a pack of three different ones for 10 bucks. May not be able to find that price now, like I said, I got lucky. I even got (during the summer) one of the kinds you have to tie for a buck at Target. They have this section where everythings a dollar and I found that and one pound hand weights for a buck each. (they are D shaped so you hold the straight end and let em swing while walking)
