Tomorrow I have doc appointment and not sure what to do really. Last week I asked if I could have an increase in the vicodin and he said yes but I told him I could wait until this week for the script. Well, since starting on the effexor again I went back to the darvacet since the vicodin didn’t go with the effexor for me. Room would start swaying back and forth. Never told him I stopped the effexor too. I know I’m doing my worrying again. Can’t help it it’s just me but do I just take the script for the vicodin and then throw it away and save him the long story of switching or tell him? Would be less time consuming if I just take the script and go. I swear I feel like I am going in sane. :loco:

I'd just ask him if there is a reason the vicodin and the effexxor might not work well together. You don't need to tell him you stopped the effexxor...tell him that the room sways when you take them and you're wondering if maybe you should try something else. You might ask for some percocet. It's oxycodone with tylenol. Most people find that it helps more for the IC pain than the vicodin does. Let us know what happens at your appt. Is the male nurse supposed to be there?

Yupe, I'm pretty sure he is supposed to be there. :smile tee Funny you remember. I'm taking some of the cookies I made along. They say the way to a mans heart is through his stomach. At least with baking his stomach is safe and won't need to be pumped out. :biglaugh: I never thought about asking doc why the vicodin didn't go with the effexor. Thanks for the suggestion Sandy. :hi:

Of course I remember! I don't mean to lie to your doctor, but definately ask him why you're feeling the way you are when you take both and ask if there is a different pain med that might not cause the same reactions. Good luck tomorrow!

I didn't take it you were telling me to lie to him. Found 2 dresses that still fit. That sure was depressing. How did I get soooooooooo fat in that short of time and not even realize it? One is flowing and the other isn't. I'm shooting for wearing the flowing one but if it is windy then I will have to wear the other. Since I found a dress to wear we more then likely will end up having 50 mph winds and will be-30. :bonk:

I skipped on wearing the dress. The temp was 10 with wind chill of –4. My hair turned out perfect but I didn’t see him. He was there but didn’t come out to see me. Guess I will just give up on it. Why get my hopes up anyway? I also said nothing to doc about the pill change. It was a very good day after all. :(

You see your doctor every week don't you? I only see my pain doc once a month, or maybe even once every two months....and my gp I see once every 3 months. It's great that you have this good of a relationship with your doctor but I'm curious why he sees you so often? Is it because you recently had medication changes? I'm sorry that guy didn't come out to see you but he might have been in the middle of something. You can't let that get to you because you dont know what he was up to, and he might not have even known you were there.
I hope your next appt is better!

Yes, I go once a week to have the heparin instills done. The nurses used to do it in the beginning but then I asked him to. Long story to it but he is my only hope and I'm sure he knows that because everyone else working there does. The women who make the appointments try to get it each week so he can do the instill. Soemtimes he is really busy and then I'll say ok for the nurse. In my mind it will only help if he does it. stupid huh? :loco: You know I didn't think of him being busy. The other doc was there this morning so he could have been helping him out. I sure go either the happy side or the down in the dumps side. I'm never in the middle.
