Had to start the effexor again this morning. :( Thought maybe I could do without it. I really don't like the idea of having to take it but without it I can't survive. At least this way I am calmer too. Was getting too jumpy to even sit and watch tv.

Don't feel that way. I felt that way when I started on mine, like I'll never get off of them. But If they make you better then thats what I have to do to be be better. so don't feel bad.

It's no shame to have to take an antidepressant every day, even if you do have to take it for the rest of your life. Look at it this way, you are finally taking meds for pain, and you take them to make you feel better...when you have a cold, or the flu, you take something to make you feel better...antibiotics for a bacterial infection. There's no shame in treating your body, whether it's for pain, depression, or an infection.
