I would really like to know what causes this. I'm fine once I go to bed and lay down. Once I get up in the morning it all starts again. Sore throat, dizzy, plugged ears, chills, achy body, feeling like I have a fever but don't. Temp is 97.6 and feeling extra blah blah. Boy, life is really fun! :tsk:

How long has this been going on? I know it's what I have left of the horrible bug I developed just after Christmas. I'm assuming I'll probably have some of the remnants until spring.

It's been happening on and off now for 5 years I think. At first I thought it was that big virus going around on the news. Sorry for anyone who has come down with it but since what I have goes away while I sleep I know it's that same weird cold thing. Doesn't seem to happen as much since taking the cystoprotek which I have upped from 4 to the 6 a day for a while. What ever it is sure does knock the energy right out of me.

Have you been checked for fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue syndrome? These symptoms are very similar to mine when my fibromyalgia is flaring up; I also know that others with these disorders report these symptoms....

You may want to discuss it with your doctor...

How do you get tested for it? I'm really not feeling well at all. Better if I just sit and not move around. Temp is now 98.5. What is a normal one? Stupid question I know for a person my age. :bonk:

To get tested for fibro, they basically rule out conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and things, and then do the "tender point" test, where they check 18 specific points. If you have pain when they press 11 out of 18 (I think that's right) you likely have fibro. CFS is harder to diagnose still, and still is mainly a diagnosis of exclusion too.

And normal body temp is on average 98.6, but people vary... however, a temp of 101 or over is generally considered a definite fever.

It could be many things including fibromyalgia or CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis); I hope you can get a proper diagnosis soon.
