Hi everyone, its been a while since I had my hydro done, so bear with me...
I was dx with IC after my hydro done over 4 yrs ago. I was underage at the time, so my mother came with me to all my uro appointments. My mom tells me that she remembers my uro saying that when she looked in my bladder it could only hold "a few tablespoons". My memory of the time has almost completely disappeared, but this seems pretty unbelievable to me. Maybe not though, as apparently I was voiding every 20 minutes, and missed tons of school. Anyways, mom says the uro "stretched" my bladder to increase its capacity while she did the hydro. Within months, my IC was in remission, and frequency was normal. Did the hydro really increase my capacity this much?
Right now I feel like even if my constant bladder pain went away, my frequency would still be bad, because my capacity is so small. I don't want it to shrink anymore, and I am capable of holding up to 200cc's sometimes, but it hurts like he*l and I think I am making things worse :( If I don't "hold it" I get more like 50-100cc's. Maybe another hydro would expand the capacity again? The pain obviously bothers me more than the capacity, but frequency is disrupting too.
