wondering why this is happening

I have a question that bothers me .. i have been on elmiron for a couple months. and aside from the hair loss.. which is not to bad yet.. i haven't had many side effects . but here is my question.. i have noticed that some days i have cloudy urine, about the color of lemon juice... no symptons of an infection.. just the cloudy urine. it comes and goes.. Has anyone else had this.. and do you think it's because of the elmiron or , maybe something else.??? i am hopeing it's just something i am eating.. but i can't tie it to anyting .. HELP!!! , i have a great dr.. and i could just bring a sample in and have it tested and i am sure she would call me, but the test are starting to get expensive .. lol.

one more question. i don't have a drug plan that pays anything for my elmiron and it's costing me 350 a month.. anyone know , how i might buy it cheaper online. or in Canada ??

Aside from infection, the only thing I can think of that might cause cloudy urine is not enough water intake. Try increasing the amount of water per day and see if that helps. If not, like you mentioned you could always take a sample to your DR to have it tested for infection.

Re: Elmiron expense-have you tried contacting the manufacturer to see if they can help with the cost?

My uro told me sometimes it has to do with PH balance. If it smells its infection.

We order some medications from canadameds.com --- I just checked and elmiron is just under $190 for 100 capsules.

The drug company also has a program for low income people with no drug coverage so you should also check on that.

If I didn't have insurance, it would of cost be $175.00 a month for 90 caps. (I go to Wal-Mart. Just thought I let you know. Might try Costco or Sams also. I know its expensive, but its worth it.

My urine gets cloudy if I don't drink enough water (I think everyone's does?). And, yes, there's a strong smell if I have either an infection or a flare. They're different. If you're just cloudy, try drinking more water. I think you'd KNOW if it were a flare or an infection for sure.

Before I got insurance, I ordered my Elmiron from CanadaDrugs.com, about $140 a month. I had applied to the company directly but was denied aid. You might also try Prescription Partnership. I was denied there too, but it's probably worth a try.

I just started Elmiron 3 weeks ago. The past few days my urine has been lemony yellow also. I know i am drinking enough water. It is not dark colored like concentrated urine so I'm thinking maybe it is the Elmiron. Don;t know for sure.
