I was wondering what your experiences have been with UTI's? How long does it usually take to feel better once you start the antibiotics? My 6 yr old is on her last day of antibiotics (10 days) and it still hurts when she goes to the bathroom. She does seem somewhat better, really only complaining when she goes. I will take her urine in to get checked also to make sure it has cleared up,but the infection she had was checked to be sure it was sensitive to the Cipro. Thanks for sharing your experiences with me, it helps so much.

I can share with you the one experience I have had with an UTI. I got one, they put me on antibiotics, it showed my urine clear at around 10 days when I went back and checked and I was in horrible shape for about a month. It took that long for my bladder to settle down. Hopefully that won't be the case with your daughter and you might even want her checked again to make sure the infection has cleared.
