Hi Spicey, I'm in Southwest Florida. I think there are some support groups in the Tampa area (a 2+ hour ride for me unfortunately). Try searching the old posts in the "Southeastern States" section, I'm sure I read it somewhere there.

I'm in Gainesville and welcome any PMs or can chat on this forum.

Just had a cystoscopy today. My doctor offered me bladder washes of heparin, sodium bicarb, and lidocaine. I've spent some time googling it and will be searching this forum to see if it's working for anybody. My pain is primarily urethral but the washes are supposed to help with neuropathic pain and I suspect my urethral pain is neuropathic, so it may help.

Hi Spicey, I'm in Daytona Beach & I haven't found any support groups here or even Dr's that know alot about ic. I drive 2 1/2 hours to Tampa for my pain management Dr. He is wonderful!!! I know it's cliche but I don't know what I'd do without him. He truly believes that ic exsists & that we have pain. :woohoo: and he has no problem giving pain meds. He also knows the owner of the pharmacy in his building & I have never had to go through the "drug seeker look" He told me at my last visit he currently only has 4 patients with ic & if I find anybody to send them his way. If anybody wants info please pm me.
