Do any of you who have had interstim wear a medical alert braclet, I'm asking b/c my GP recently starting bugging me about it, saying I really needed one and if you all do what is on it?

I wear my bracelet every day....actually I have 2, in case I lose one.

the backside says: INTERSTIM: NO MRI, DIATHERMY or ELECTROMAGNETIC

the frontside says: INTERSTITIAL CYSTITIS: Needs immediate & freq. access to restroom.

People pretty much are decent when they see the bracelet. I mainly got it so that I didn't get hassled at the airport...cos you can't go thru the metal detectors.

I personally think it's a good idea for anyone who has a medical problem that's not immediately visible to have and wear a Medic Alert. I have one because I am allergic to some significant medications; my husband has one because he has an artificial heart valve. If we are ever in an accident and are not able to communicate, the bracelets could save our lives.

I used to wear one all the time until I lost it. I think it is a good idea and I plan on reordering one.

Thanks ladies this helps alot I will try it, in fact I didn't know it until today but my Mom and Dad order one for me for my B'day they wanted me to have a good one made of 14k so that it would last a long time, you know God is sooooo... good. When it comes it will not have anything on it so I will have it engraved with some of the things you all said on it. Be bless.
