I feel like I am going crazy. My hubby's birthday was over the weekend and he really wanted some lovin', so we had sex two days in a row, which I usually don't do because I usually get sore but I figured it was his birthday weekend and I was okay. Well Sunday I was in pain most of the day and this morning I woke up and I had bleeding though I'm in the middle of my cycle, on the pill and don't normally have this problem. I started having really bad cramps, the kind that took my breath away. I called the dr office and they said since it didn't make sense why I was bleeding that I should come in and get checked out. So I basically got to work and then turned around and left to go to the gyn for my appointment. She said that I was probably in so much pain because I had some of the bleeding and I'm so sensitve becasue of the endo. She wasn't too worried about it though. When she did the pelvic exam though and pushed on my bladder it hurt and burned really really bad. I thought I was going to cry. She gave me a note so at least I didn't have to go back to work. She had me do a pregnancy test to make sure that didn't have anything to do with the bleeding, came back negative, thank god! 4 kids at home is enough. She also said that she wanted to do a urine sample for infection just in case because I had a 100 degree temp when I came in. The girl at the lap said there was something in my urine that began w/ an L but I can't remember what it was, she said this could be sign of an infection so she was going to send it out to be cultured and can take 3 days to hear back. I just have no idea what this pain is, I have some bladder pain but I also have general pelvic pain and I don't know if I brought this on myself by daring to have sex 2 days in a row or if it is completely unrelated. Ugh, how I miss being normal and not having all of these problems!:cussing:

Christine I am so sorry you are in pain. That is a constantly battle because you never know if you will be hurting from it. I hope you start feeling better and find out if you do have an infection. If you don't IC'er do have problems with these kind of stuff. I know it Grrrrrrrr, especially when you just want to satisfy your husband. Hope you start getting better soon, hugs Trishann

That stinks - being in pain after trying to be so thoughtful for your husband's birthday weekend. :( I hope the flare dies down soon. The L word in the urinalysis may have been leukocytes which I believe are white blood cells and that can mean infection. I hope they get that culture sent out right away. :kissing:

Thanks Kim, I think that leukocytes might have been what the lab tech said but I wouldn't bet my life on it. She said that they would have to send it out for a culture and it would take 3 days to find out! That seems like a really like time to me if I might have an infection. I'm just really worried because this is the worst pain that I've been in in a very long time if ever and it's not really getting better. I don't what to miss anymore work but if I feel like this again tomorrow I honestly don't know if I can make it through the day, which sucks because it has been really busy at work and I feel really bad leaving everybody else with all that work to do when I'm at home w/ the heating pad on.

Some doctors will prescribe an antibiotic if the urinalysis results were pointing to UTI and while you're waiting on the culture results to confirm it. You might see if your doctor will. Some are very against doing that, but some will.

Okay, I called the Dr office back today because I am going crazy. I'm having bladder spasms that are driving me crazy, I'm in a lot of pain (I've been brining my heating pad to work, never did that before)and started to go to the bathroom over and over again first thing this morning even before I had started really drinking my water. I thought this has got to be an infection because this is the worst I have been since I have been diagnoised. The nurse was really nice and told me that she would check on my culture to see if it was back and call. When I had to wait until almost the end of the day and she finally called me back to tell me there is no infection. The doctor said she would call me in the Rx of the bladder pain pills that make you pee orange but I already bought some from CVS and I'm not goint to spend more money on the same thing just because it's an Rx. Then she said if I'm not feeling better in the next day or two I need to come back in, not really sure why, if it's a flare and not an infection the only thing they can do is do an instill right? This drives me crazy!:toilet:
