SO I went to a Urogyno this past week and I have to say It was quite successful. She was intelligent, compassionate, professional and down to earth. I finally found an excellent Dr! (just when I was about to give up hope on the medical community!)
She diagnosed me with "Painful Bladder Syndrome" and an Overactive Bladder...(though i dont know if i am so sure about the OAB thing)
I am on 3 months of a low dose of antibiotics to take care of the all the weird bacterial infections I always seem to get. I am starting biofeedback next week (has anyone had biofeedback? how do you feel about it?) She said she wanted to wait before putting me on Elimron because in her experiences, she has seen a lot of success with it and wanted to try some other things first.
She did a pelvic exam and let me tell you it was the best one i have ever had (haha). I always have so much pain with them and she was extra careful not to hurt me.
She also referred me to a Endometriosis/Laporoscopy "Guru" ( i have done my research on him, and he has gotten RAVE reviews) So I am very happy about this.
I was so happy that she was so great and didnt hurt me I forgot to ask about pain meds, do I call her, do I find a "pain management" doctor and if so, how do i go about that? I am not sure...
I feel as if I am FINALLY making some progress even if it is slight...
