Not newly diagnosed sorry.....but NEED HELP!!!

Hi, I am 25 years old and have this dang problem with IC since I was 23 or so. I am having a problem please help.

I am on Elmiron and was taking Neurontin.

I am sort of trying to conceive so I was told to stop taking the neurontin. I also stopped taking birth control. And now 2 times in 2 weeks my flare up has happened.

All I can take now for pain is motrin and use my heating pad. Any advice on what to do???? I need to go to the urologist to get the in office installations done I think. :(

I am sssooo frustrated. This problem stinks.

Well, when I was having a flare and couldn't take meds (was pregnant) I found that tums really helped. Also, you can take a day or two of pyridium. It's a class B drug now and my ob agreed to let me use it in limited quantities while pregnant. I only used it one, and to be honest it really didn't help much, but sometimes it does.

I will ask my doc about that. I am sure there are other things I can be taking. I just don't know why no one is letting me know what they are. :(
I am off the pill which I think helped the IC problem.

You are still very young... maybe this isn't the best time to try to conceive?
