Went to see my doc yesterday who just got back from vacation. Gosh I missed that man!!!!

He says that I am healing well from the hyster and that my uti is cleared up. The Staph infection I picked up at the hospital he belives was on my skin and not my bladder but to be sure he is doing another culture.

My PFD is the worst it has ever been so I am now on Flexoril 3 x a day and Klonopin as needed. HE also said that my IC is at it's all time worst, could it have gotten any worse? from the surgery so we are dealing with that too but he thinks that is from the surgery, uti and PFD.

Fortunaltely I do feel a little better today. We are working in my anti's and changing them over to Effexor XR. So I will be on the Effexor and Lexapro for some time. Good thing too because emotionally I am a complete basketcase right now.

Thanks so much to everyone for your sweet words and encouraging thoughts. So nice to know there are others out there who feel my pain

Hugs-

I'm glad you're feeling better. I take flexeril sometimes...I try to take a month off from my Soma every now and then and switch so that they work better. The flexeril seems to make me sleepy/loopy which is an amazing feat considering my tolerance to meds!

I'm sorry that your bladder is unhappy and that you caught that staph infection. Unfortunately thats very common in a hospital, especially after surgery because we all carry staph on our skin, so when we are cut anywhere it has the ultimate entryway!

I hope you continue to feel better every day! Just take it slow and easy!

Hugs, Sandy

Wendi,

I am glad you are feeling a bit better today! I know every minutes of relief counts. I hope they can get a handle on the PFD. Glad to see you today!

I hope you continue to feel better as the days go on.

HUGS!

Wendi,

So glad that you are starting to get better! You really did have a time of it! I know when I had mine, my bladder was pretty ticked off too. I also had a UTI (probobly from the cath) when I was in the hospital. But, I didnt get a staph infection, so you had to have felt REALLY bad!!! It is pretty scary to think what could have happened to you, although, as Sandy said, it is pretty common in hospitals. Still, I hate that it happened to you!!

I am so glad to see you back online. We have really missed you! I hope that you get better and feel stronger every day. Love and hugs, Amy
