I survived my surgery...barely

Hi all.
This is the first time I have been able to post since my hysterectomy on 12/27. The surgery went well. I was able to keep my ovaries so at least one thing went well. I had major issues with the foley as you may have expected. Once they pulled it I couldn't void on my own. I made the nurses cath me and they pulled 600 cc out of me, aahhhggg!

My bladder has been a real mess since the surgery. I developed a severe UTI from the foley and we havent' been able to stop it yet. I got a call from the doctor's office yesterday and my culture came back also containing Staph.

GEE, could things get any better? Anyway, just wanted you all to know that I have been thinking of you but I can barely walk to the bathroom right now let alone sit long enough to check emails or type very long.

I love you all and I hope that everyone is doing well. I will try to check back soon. My husband is gone to NC to pick up our daughter. I haven't seen her since the 26th. I hope that being with her will lift my spirits some as I am in such deep depression right now. I hope this will end. My pain certainly hasn't eased off.

It's so good to see you! I pray that you have a speedy recovery! Does your daughter live with you? I bet you will feel much better depression wise after she comes home! I'm sorry to hear about the ongoing UTI. That must be so frustrating! I am glad to hear that you got to keep your ovaries. It's the small things that excite us eh? Anyway, I will be thinking of you and wishing you well wishes! It will be good to see you back when you are feeling up to it. Rest as much as you can and know that we are all here for support when you need it.

Oh gosh, I am so sorry. I know how you feel with that foley, happened to me after my hysto.
Hopefully you will feel better soon with antibiotics, and hopefully you have the right meds for everything.
