Levaquin Dilemma

Hi everyone. I am new to the website. I was diagnosed with IC back in June and have been taking Elmiron since. I think it is working, but last week I had to take Levaquin for a sinus infection and now i feel like I am having a flare up. I have burning, itching, urge to go and some pain. At this point I cant tell if its a yeast infection or IC. Has anyone else experienced this before?

I have gotten a number of yeast infections after being on antibiotics (or while I was on them). It's very common, because the antibiotics kill the "good" bacteria in the vagina and that allows the yeast to grow out of control.

I also find that when I've got a yeast infection my IC flares like crazy, so it could be both!!

My best advice would be to see your doctor to make sure you don't have an infection going on down there. If you do, they can give you some meds to help clear it up and you should feel better in a day or two. :grouphug:
