I hate pain when does it stop?

this pain is wearing me down. awful flaring again. I broke my leg couple months ago had few pain pills left been taking those but not touching it hardly. my stupid uro still hasn't given me anything for pain yet. i go for my cysto follow up tuesday. but i can't make it if i am hurting like this. it is 2 hours away cuz we have stupid docs around here i reckon. i think they left ic chapter out of mississippi docs med books. i am just very fustrated trying to get some relief from this god awful disease. i just don't understand how chronic pain is under treated. it is just bad to rather have cancer to get some relief than this awful disease. sorry for the rant, i know yall know what it is like. no one else seems to understand. even family thinks ur lying. i don't wish this on no one but sometimes i wish people could live 1 week in our shoes. well happy new year yall. i hope this don't mean i am going to have a year full of flaring. urrrgggh:cussing:

If your uro isn't willing to prescribe something to help you feel better, I suggest you ask for a referral to a pain management specialist. You should not be forced to continue in pain.

I agree with Donna; if at all possible, ask your doc for a referral to a PMC. If your other docs can't or won't help with pain, the PMC should be able to give some help. :grouphug:

I use to live in Hattiesburg, and then moved to the coast, I know alot of good doctors in the state..Let me know if I can help you..

the lack of empathy i read about is a constant surprise to me....dont people USE their brains? why would ANYONE want to lie about being in pain?
dont your family KNOW you and what you look like? My family is so understanding...they see it in my face and my voice when i am in agony.I never have to say a word. I know i am truly blessed to be surrounded by such nurturing people, i wish everyones family was so....

thanks yall. i rescheduled it only get it for 23rd of this month. i am still hurting alot. can't hardly move must less go long way to dr. i am going to ask him for referral to pmc. if he don't give me one i will find a new uro. i can't live like this no more. i think i have been patient enough for him to stop this pain. i am miserable. this is no way to live. just stupid dr's. i got such a headache now from stress. gotta go lay down later yall.

I hope you feel better soon......sorry you have to wait unti the 23rd to see the doctor. I am seeing a pain management doctor for the IC pain which is 24/7 and a urologist. The pain medicine does help with the pain but it never goes completely away. I know how you feel and I pray that you are able to get to a doctor that helps you with your pain.
