Elmiron and Medicare

I finally (over a month later) got my Elmiron approved by Medicare (I'm on SDI for my mental illness, not my IC) ....

but only for 6 mo??

Is this normal? I thought you needed it for extended period of time?

Any ideas greatly appreciated. :-)
