Botulinum Toxin (Botox)

I was just reading and trying to find other options for me. I have been diagnosed with "non obstructive urinary retention". I had a hysto on Oct 6th and have not been able to void at all on my own. I am self cathing and they keep telling me option is Interstim, but having a hard time with that.

Anyway, I found this thing called Botulinum Toxin Therapy (also known as Botox) for urinary retention. Has anyone seen this or tried it and if so, what was your outcome?

Julie, botox is not used for retation. It is used for urgercy&freqency. I have used the botox for 3 1/2 years for that and it has worked for me. I was going up to 60 times a day top 7 times a day. Deborah Bush
