Hi all! I'm new to the board. I have not yet been diagnosed with IC, but my uro , Dr Doggweiller says that I have many of the symptoms. She is new to my area and is supposed to be a pretty good IC doctor. I have been to her twice and she has me on Prelief, acidophalis, flomax(because I was not able to empty my bladder) and Sanctura. This along with an IC diet seems to help, so far. I had already cut out coffee, my beloved green tea and carbonated beverages long ago, realizing they really bothered me.

I have been having sypmtoms for about 3 years now. It all started with a UTI, and the longer I stayed on antibiotics, the worse I felt. Ended up in the emergency room. Saw a uro the next week who was pretty dimissive and told me I had a "sensitive bladder" and gave me a 2 month supply of detrol with no follow up.

My symptoms are: constant urge (sometimes mild and sometimes overwelming), frequency, nocturcia, and burning, as well as blo0d in my urine with no bactiria present. All of the symptoms are basically in my urethra. No real bladder pain yet, fortuately.

Anywho, after my gyno and my new family doctor kept finding blood in my urine, and I kept thinking I had a UTI, but no bacteria found, my GP said I need to see a uro, and I chose Dr Doggweiller. If any of you have used her in the past, please PM me and let me know how it went.

I hope you will get some answers soon. I know it's frustrating to be in pain and not know what's going on.

Warm hugs,
Donna

:welcome: to the ICN...

You have found a wonderful doctor. I have not had the pleasure of having her help me, but there are a few on these boards who use her and speak very positively about her. I always said that if I needed to find another uro, I would go to her. Then she moved to your neck of the woods. Sad for me...fortunate for you. :) :) :)
