Can Illness Viral/Bacterial Cause a Flare?

If you are ill with something, can that cause a flare in your bladder?

If so, why is that?

Sure can. I flare with evey illness I get, even a head cold.

Flaring is common with viral illnesses --- I'm not sure why.

This is just a guess, but I think it is probably because of the stress your body is under trying to fight off an infection. You know, how the whole stress thing is related to flares...
