Related conditions w/ IC

Hello everyone. I am wondering if any of you have been diagnosed w/ Celiac's disease along w/ IC. I've been doing the IC diet but am still having pain and I find that when I eat a lot of bread and sugar I feel like I have a yeast infection. Not sure if this is normal or not. I'm also wondering if maybe I need to also follow a gluten free diet. I've asked my doctor if the two are related but he doesn't think they are?? I've been researching on the internet and I also have a girl friend who has Celiac's disease and the two disease seem to go hand and hand w/ a lot of people. I'm trying to get up enough nerve to request a Celiac's blood test from my doctor - what do you think? Any advise you can give me would be greatly appreciated!! If you feel there's a chance you have celiac, by all means ask your doctor to test you.

Hey! I have celiac and IC however blood tests do not always show celiac-it didnt for me. Your really need a colonoscopy to do that. thats a pain i know been there done that...if you just want to know for yourself i would sugest going on an illimination diet and seeing if you feel better without gluten, because even if you dont have celiac you could be gluten sensitive....and if it helps it helps. soo yeah. I was actually just dx with IC yesterday so i havnt found out a whole lot about what i can eat that doesnt bother my bladder, we shall see fun fun fun
