Hi, this is angieleigh again...

Well, I went in today for my cystoscopy and hydrodistention. Didn't quite realize it was what they called "surgery"... I kept referring to it as a procedure, but all went well. It hurts really bad to go to the bathroom... I fear going, but I'm doing alright. They prescribed Urised, which they said should help...

The doctor spoke to my husband when it was over and even gave him photographs of my bladder (when I worke up I thought my husband was kidding, but really- I have three pictures of the inside of my bladder)... and said that everything was fine. Trust me- I'm so thankful for that, but he seemed so sure the other day I had IC... does this test always accurately show if someone has IC or not? I just don't know what else could cause the pain I'm having as well as all of the phantom and real UTIs... any thoughts? I wasn't able to talk to him today, but the office said they would have him call me tomorrow. My husband said the doctor had said he had some other thoughts about what may be causing the pain...

Thanks so much and hope everyone is doing well.

Hopefully your doctor will have some answers to share with you tomorrow.

Warm hugs,
Donna

Glad to hear you dont have IC, and it will be interesting to hear what your doctor has to say about your other symptoms.
Sometimes pelvic floor disorder can cause a lot of referred pain to the bladder and urethra, so can low back problems. A lot of female problems like fibroids, endometriosis and so on also can cause bladder symptoms. Even low estrogen in the vagina can cause some urinary tract symptoms.
All this stuff has to be sorted out by a physician, preferably one who specializes in treating these various problems.
Good luck, and keep us posted.
