I've been baking up a storm the last few days...making chocolate treats and putting them in pretty tins as gifts for friends and family. I love baking but the problem is that the uhhh..."mistake" ones-- ya know, the ones that crumble or get burnt on the edges or whatever -- end up in my mouth. So I've been eating chocolate every day for the past four days! :tsk: I have absolutely no willpower when it comes to chocolate. I'm like an alcoholic with it....I just have to stay away from it completely because if it's within walking distance I will attack it like a crazy person. :evilsmile Anyway, I am, not surprisingly, now in a flare. But I am done with baking, so no more temptation! My family will be here on Wednesday to celebrate the holiday and I really don't want to be flaring. I guess I will be downing baking soda water and plain potatoes for the next few days. :bonk:
I just wanted to "confess my sin" here. I'm mad at myself!

Same here...as i just ate another cookie.
Call me selfish, but I usually bake things that I can eat without pain. People really like the butterscotch brownies on the recipe part of this website and blueberry muffins are usually well received. (But of course, if you're famous for your chocolate treats... well then...)
Hope you feel better soon!

I found chewing gum while baking helps so I won't snack them up.

Hey... atleast you had to work for it by baking cookies. That's a much better circumstance than buying a box of double stuff oreos! I've been baking up a storm too.... making Swedish Christmas bread, Russian Tea Cakes, Prune Cake. Going to make some thumbprint cookies this afternoon! I think we deserve them!
Used to love chocolate but just developed that sudden "allergy" to it... horrible cramps so, basically, you couldn't pay me to eat chocolate anymore. I have a new weakness... carob truffles and carob english toffee. OMG is that good stuff! My rule is that I can't have any samples in my office cause, well, I eat them. The carob candies are for sale in our shop if anyone is interested. http://www.icnshop.com
