Rescue instill humor!!

As a few of you know, I have been in a powerful flare the last few days. So, I have been doing a Recue instill at home every day for the last few days. Normally, I have no problem doing these alone, unless I get numb too fast, which presents the problem of feeling my way around. Even then, I can normally find everything eventually. But, last night, this happened and I wandered around so long, poking and sticking (and each time having to resterilize before I could begin again!!), that I got frustrated and called my husband in to help. This was high comedy for sure!! He was like, "What are you asking me for? I dont know anything about your parts!!!" LOL! To which I said, "Well, I KNOW that!!! But, I thought it might be easier for you to figure out what to do this time, since my Dr. has left instructions for you!!!" :biglaugh: Anyway, we finally got it in the urethra!

Well, today, I was still flaring and it was time to do another one. Since it was easier to do with the extra hands to draw things up and hold the pan, etc. I wanted him to help me again. Well, he was at my brothers and was leaving our tractor there for them, so I had to go get him. Well, he stayed, and stayed and stayed some more!!! I wanted to get home to do the instill, since I was hurting. But, I dont usually want to draw attn to myself by talking about health stuff, so after I waited forever for him to come on, I finally said, "Come on, we need to get home! I need you to do that thing you did for me last night again. It's time, and I need you to do it again really bad!" Well, they all just busted up! Was my face ever red when I realized how THAT came out!!! :big laugh:

i have at times wondered whether certain 'practices' have disposed me to some of my pain

this is embarressing but....

i have always enjoyed urethral play and also some rough stimulation (a 5 o'clock shadow or some facial hair can really stir me up)

i wonder if this has damaged me in some way

then again i think..why do i look for reasons to blame myself for this? its not that i look to punish myself, i am very comfortable with my sexual preferences, but i suppose i keep looking for a link hoping if i find it, i can find a way to minimise the impact and the pain and begin to live in a more normal fashion

Good question, but I doubt that has anything to do with it, since so many people have this problem who have never been sexually active. Although, I COULD see that it might cause irrration for a few days afterward, (kind of like our normal sex-related flares.) But, of course, like everything else, this is only my opinion. I agree with Amy (through my horrible fit of hysterical giggles that are making my co-workers look at me funny, lol - due to Amy's story), I don't think it would be a "cause" but, more likely just an aggrivator etc. And hey, never be shy if you have a question around here, lol. I think we've discussed quite a few things, but hey, as an ICer we are directly affected by sex etc, so it's not something we can avoid... ;)

Love that story!!!! I think all of us who do instills must have one like it...mine was with me my mom and my then 12 yo daughter and my first try at self instills all anyone else could hear who was at the house was me saying "wrong hole, wrong hole" and my mom "I got it, I got it" and my daughter "you mean you have THREE holes?!!"....It took about two hours and boy was a sore, but we laugh about it now. I guess I have no modesty left or orifice untouched!!

Yes Amy, you have made us laugh this morning! I would have to leave it myterious with the brothers though. They may be thinking how lucky your hubby is!!! I have to use the lidocaine jet gels at times and when I first started using them, I was having a hard time and actually wasted a couple which are actually very valuable since I am having a hard time getting them (another story). Anyway...I asked him if he would please make sure that I was getting it in my uretha, the look on his face was so funny. I was like it's not like you haven't seen it before. LOL!

Too bad I can't do the instills since my uretha has strong feelings that it doesn't like to be cathed. Wouldn't he love to help me with that???
