Having another cystoscopy and urethroscopy under general next week as been in a flare/ worsening symptoms for 4 months now.
Real nervous and scared of the pain afterwards as had urodynamics last month and the urethral pain and shooting spasms or something was awful - worse than any IC flare or when I had instillations earlier this year. Shows my symptoms are worse as used to have instillations straight after work and go to work the next day unless I had UTI symptoms.
But this time, nothing helped for days - had ice for hours. I did tell the nurse about my reservations about the pain etc and they said to tell the anaesthetist about it.
Is an hours drive and will arrange for someone to pick me up afterwards - am taking along heat pad, stick on heat patch and some painkillers and pyridium to take afterwards. Anything else- I think that's all my IC 'toolkit' on the go as it is. Wish they did battery operated heat pads!!
Will just have to take bicarb and tons of water when I get home and hope I recover quickly.
Will be difficult so close to christmas, am going to get wrapping done this week but I think we will have to host a christmas part for all family this year - how will I do it?! I've already hinted about going to hospital for tests.:confused:
