Atarax- Only Four months?

I read an article on Atarax last night that it is not meant to be long term and that you shouldn't be on it longer than four months. Is this true?

I can't take Atarax at all. It makes me retain urine. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Yeah, I've read that too. And yet, I've been taking it for over a year, and none of my doctors have even suggested that I stop. In fact, my GP's suggested upping my dose for allergy-related stuff. So, I guess I just shrug it off.

But, like Donna said, the best thing to do if you're concerned would be to discuss it with your doc.
