This is a link to a recent study about vit d and IC. They say you can't just take vit D, but you can get D3, the type they use so I am not sure what they mean. Research before you take gobs of D3. Too much D is probably toxic.

It's important that you talk with your physician before taking massive doses of any remedy.

Thanks for posting,

I agree with Donna, i wouldnt take this without speaking to your dr first and have them check your vitamin D levels.

Mine are very low, almost non existant.......dr was concerned.

Im trying to find a vitamin D supliment that doesnt iritate my bladder, first i have to wait for this flare to die down some though.

I don't know much about this, but just wanted to share that I am on Fosamax as a result of a bone density test. I was just switched to Fosamax Plus D. I take one pill a week and it provides a week's worth of Vit. D3 (28OO IU), which comes out to 400 IU daily. The Vitamin D3 is supposed to work better with the our ingredients in building up bone mass.

I sure hope so as I would love more than anything to be off this drug by my next annual bone density test. I've been really loading up on calcium.

D3 is from pig skin, so I don't know why it would be good to use it. It's the same kind they put in milk, but I personally prefer some other source.

From reading the link it sounds like a doctor needs to help you with this to get it right. Thanks for sharing! It was an interesting read! :grouphug:

Vitamin D is one of the few vitamins (along with A, E and K) that is NOT water soluble and IS retained longterm in the liver. Overdosing with D can cause liver damage and disability

BUT

That level (for average, healthy livers) has to maintained for weeks.

ALSO

Getting out in the sunshine and exposing good quantities of skin to the rays will help you produce more D (in your own perfect and natural form). Careful with synthetic AEDorK for all the reasons above.

take care, hope it's a good day!
