I'm not familir with CTKUB --- what does that mean.
The Patient Handbook at http://www.ic-network.com/handbook explains how a diagnosis is made. X-rays will not diagnose IC.

Hi Donna,
CT is the Cat Scan, and KUB is Kidney, Urinary Tract, and Bladder. Sorry, I was in a hurry when I posted this. Didn't mean to be confusing. :)

As far as I know there are only three ways to diagnose IC:
1. cystoscopy with hydrodistention and biopsies (It's how I was diagnosed)
2. potassium sensitivity test
3. Some physicians are willing to make a diagnosis based on symptoms.

Thank you Donna :)
Maybe she was ruling things out.
