I was wondering if it is common for hydrodistensions to work less and less the more you have them? And is it true that hydrodistensions are not common practice for IC anymore?

Hydrodistentions have been helping me for 31+ years now and so far they have continued to help. While I agree that hydros probably aren't done as much as they were in the past for IC, they are still being done.

I will continue having them done as long as they work for me.

This will be the second time I ever had one of these, the paper said that I will be slightly sedated, I hope so I have a bladder infection now and hurt down there something fierce. I just put a 50mg patch on an do the oxyir every 6 hours plus take 6 to 8 xtra strength tylenol daily.
These patches don't last 72 hours that last day is a killer, the pain is so bad you can hardly stand it. My shrink said about sitting in the bath tub with warm water helps the flares. If I sit in the tub, I don't know how I will ever get up. I take showers, I will try a moist heating pad. Well wish me luck with the cysto, my pain doctor who wants to put another pump in don't think much of these cysto's the way he talks nothing is going to help the ic but pain meds and pain pumps.
Thanks for listening, good luck to you all.
God Bless
