Kara has appt tomorrow with new pain clinic!

Dear Friends,

I spoke to Kara yesterday. She has an appt tomorrow with a new pain clinic at a world renouned hospital. She is cautiously optomistic that they may be able to help her. Please say a prayer that this will go well for her. She has been through alot and is getting pretty discouraged. As you all know, hope is all we have got sometimes. I told her what we all have said about how this one really is in the best postion to help her, b/c we now know the exact location of the nerves in question, and what worked before, (albeit temporarily.) I really hope this one is the one that is able to help her. I know you guys do too.

She really appreciates every one's thoughts and prayers and has expressed to me numerous times how much it means to her that you all have hung in there with her through it all, and are with her still.

Thank you for keeping us posted, and I am praying and hoping that this will work for her, that they will be able to help her. I feel so bad about the pain she is suffering, and the terrible disappointments she's endured. She is so strong to have gotten this far without cracking....I wish her a painfree Christmas.

Hi Amy thanks for the updates! im been so busy at work and just plain going nuts here! tell kara I love her & am thinking of her. It 11;38 pm here and just got home from work around 9;30, am beat and bladder is killing me! i hope to call kara on sunday to see hows she is doing. Will she be home or at her Moms ? Pm me if possible. And i will see if i can find her # s again. let me know!

I talked to Kara a little while ago. The consultation with the new Dr went well..he agreed to take her as a patient. He seemed interested in helping her and interested in following a few leads that some of the other Drs didnt want to pursue. She said she will post in a little while, after she gets some rest, so I will let her fill you in on the rest. Just wanted to let you know that he did offer her some much needed hope, so that is a good thing. Hopefully, she'll post soon to fill you all in on the rest! Thank you to everyone again who has stuck by her thru all this and continued to think of her and pray for her. It really means alot to her. Hugs, Amy
