I've had mild IC for 5 years now. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 months now with no luck. I know that's not a very long time to try but my family is all VERY fertile and usually get pregnant on the first try. I also have a tipped uterus. :hi:

I had not been diagnosed with IC(but believe it was there)and had been diagnosed with severe endo while TTC. It took 4 years with 4 losses for our miracle. Depending on your age, they usually have you try for a year before you see a specialist(I think under 35),otherwise a few months.

Many hugs and best wishes,

If I had been trying for 4 months, I would probably lie and say I'd been trying a year.:) There are a lot of simple things your doctor can do to help, they just don't care if you haven't been trying a year. I am way too impatient for that! I only had to try once with each of my babies.

if your uterus is tipped.. which way? angle your body so that the sperm can get in easier to the direction you are tipped. Just an idea I've heard on other boards

Babs brought up a good point with the endo. I was just diagnosed myself. It tends to go hand in hand with IC and can cause major fertility problems. It can be removed with laproscopic surgery and fertility can be restored(based on the severity and location.) Just something to consider.
